If you are a 2027-batch engineering student in CSE, ECE or a related branch, Qualcomm India has four entry-level listings open on its own careers site right now: Engineer (Software), Associate Engineer (Software), Associate Engineer (Hardware) and an Interim Engineering Intern (Hardware). All four were live when we checked on 3 November 2026, and none of them shows a closing date, so there is no reason to sit on it.
Below we go through each role, the locations, what Qualcomm actually asks for, how to apply on the official portal, and the scam warning every fresher should read. We have only used Qualcomm’s own job pages, so anything the company has not published (salary, number of openings, test pattern) is marked as not stated.
Qualcomm 2027 campus hire at a glance
| Role | Job ID | Listed locations | Team |
|---|---|---|---|

| Associate Engineer, Software | 3094023 | Hyderabad, Chennai | Software Engineering |

The employer on every listing is Qualcomm India Private Limited. The listings first went up in July 2026 under the “2027 Campus Hire” label, which tells you the target is students graduating in 2027. Number of openings and last date: check the official listing, Qualcomm has not published either.
What the work looks like
Software roles (Engineer and Associate Engineer)
Both software listings carry the same description. You would be writing software for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets. The teams named are multimedia (audio and video codecs, image processing), wireless modem work (4G, WiFi, Bluetooth), platform software (Linux, Android, Windows, board support packages) and IoT products like connected cameras, drones and VR/AR devices.
The day-to-day areas Qualcomm lists for campus grads include:
- Real-time embedded software and device drivers
- Linux kernel, BSP and driver development
- Modem, connectivity and protocol stack software (TCP/UDP/IP, SIP, RTP)
- Multimedia software stack and firmware
- Application and UI development for Android and Windows based devices
Our read: this is low-level, C and C++ heavy work. If your comfort zone is web development only, spend some time on OS concepts and pointers before the tests.
Hardware roles (Associate Engineer and Interim Intern)
The hardware listings cover chip design work across the SoC. The areas named are SoC and hard macro physical design, SoC validation and debug, RF and analog layout, RF/analog/mixed-signal and power IC design, low power design, board and FPGA design, digital ASIC design, design verification, CAD, design for test (DFT) and CPU design.
Who can apply
Here is what the official listings ask for. Read the one for your role, because the hardware and software requirements are different.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Qualcomm listing 3094022, Minimum Qualifications
- Software roles: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Branches named are Computer Science Engineering, Communication Engineering and ECE.
- Software skills listed: C/C++ and object oriented design, OS concepts, data structures, Linux/UNIX, and some idea of wireless standards like LTE and GSM.
- Associate Engineer, Hardware: minimum is an associate’s degree in CS, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is listed as preferred.
- Hardware skills listed: Verilog or VHDL, C/C++, Tcl/Perl/shell scripting, RTL design or strong OO programming. For RF and analog design, knowledge of PLL, LNA, op-amps, CMOS, ADC/DAC, Cadence, SpectreRF or layout is marked as required.
- Interim Intern, Hardware: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, VLSI, Embedded and VLSI, or ECE.
- All roles: problem solving skills, teamwork and good spoken and written communication.
Read the label before you apply
These are tagged “2027 Campus Hire”. If you graduated in 2025 or 2026, or you already have work experience, these listings are probably not meant for you. Apply to Qualcomm’s regular openings instead of hoping a campus listing will stretch.
Salary and benefits
None of the four listings states a salary, stipend or CTC. You will see figures floating around on social media and salary websites, but they are not from Qualcomm, so we are not printing them here. The offer letter is the only number that counts.
How to apply
- Open the right listingUse the links in the section below. They go straight to careers.qualcomm.com, Qualcomm’s own job portal.
- Pick one role that fits your branchCSE students fit the software listings, ECE and VLSI students fit the hardware ones. Applying to everything with the same resume rarely helps.
- Keep your resume ready as a PDFThe portal asks for a resume upload. Put your projects in C/C++, embedded systems, Verilog or Linux near the top.
- Accept the privacy notice and submitThe portal asks you to acknowledge Qualcomm’s Job Application Privacy Notice before you submit.
- Watch your emailAny test or interview invite will come from Qualcomm. The listings do not describe the selection rounds, so treat any “exam pattern” you see online as a guess.
Tip for a stronger application
Match your resume words to the listing. If you have done a Linux driver, an FPGA board or an RTL design project, name it clearly. Recruiters scan for exactly those terms.

Never pay for a job
Qualcomm’s careers site says it does not accept applications from staffing or recruiting agencies. If anyone asks you for a registration fee, a “training deposit” or money to fix an interview for Qualcomm, it is a scam. Apply only through careers.qualcomm.com.
