If you took the PET/PST for SSC SI in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2025 (SSC CPO 2025) in July, your result is out. SSC declared it on 29 October 2026, and 10,676 candidates have qualified. Paper-II is tentatively fixed for 28 November 2026, so qualified candidates have less than four weeks left to prepare.

Below you will find the official numbers from the SSC notice, how to find your roll number, what the qualified lists look like category-wise, and what Paper-II and the later stages involve. Everything here is taken from SSC’s own documents, linked at the end.

Key dates for SSC CPO 2025

This exam has moved slowly. The Paper-I result came in March, the physical tests ran in July, and the PET/PST result took another three months. Here is the timeline so far.

Event Date
Paper-I result declared 30 March 2026
PET/PST conducted by CAPFs 21 to 30 July 2026
PET/PST result declared 29 October 2026
Paper-II exam schedule notice 2 November 2026
Paper-II (computer based exam) 28 November 2026 (tentative)

Paper-II is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on 28.11.2026.SSC result notice F.No. E/13/2025-C-2, 29.10.2026

SSC confirmed the same date again in its exam schedule notice of 2 November 2026, which lists Paper-II of SI CPO 2025 on 28 November.

PET/PST result 2025 at a glance

All 48,387 candidates who cleared Paper-I were called for the physical tests. More than half did not turn up. The official status-wise break-up is below.

PET/PST status Candidates
Qualified 10,676
Not qualified 10,622
Absent 26,949
Withheld 136
Temporary unfit 4
Total called after Paper-I 48,387

So roughly one in two candidates who actually appeared got through. If you were one of them, the hard physical part is behind you.

Category-wise list for Paper-II

SSC has published two lists of candidates allowed to sit Paper-II: List-I for women and List-II for men.

Category Female (List-I) Male (List-II)
UR 116 2,023
OBC 185 3,932
EWS 102 1,779
SC 73 1,733
ST 42 831
Total 518 10,298

The male list also includes 1,189 ex-servicemen candidates. The female total of 518 counts the 4 women kept as temporary unfit. Note that 518 plus 10,298 comes to 10,816, which is the qualified figure plus the 4 temporary unfit and 136 withheld cases. The withheld roll numbers are in a separate List-III, kept back on the recommendation of the nodal force, BSF.

97 candidates allowed provisionally

SSC has let 97 candidates sit Paper-II because their cases are in court. Their roll numbers are printed in the notice. Appearing does not give them any right to selection, and the final call depends on the court outcome.

How to check your SSC CPO PET/PST result

  2. Find the right entryLook for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2025 result dated 29.10.2026.

Paper-II: what you are preparing for

Paper-II is a single paper on English. According to the SSC notice for this exam, it has 200 questions for 200 marks, runs for 2 hours, and carries negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

This paper matters more than many candidates think. Final merit is made from Paper-I and Paper-II marks together, plus NCC bonus marks if you have a certificate. If two candidates tie, Paper-II marks decide first. A weak English score can push you down the list even after a strong Paper-I.

You also need a minimum score in each paper, without NCC bonus: 30% for UR, 25% for OBC and EWS, and 20% for other categories.

Use the next few weeks well

With about 25 days left, spend most of your time on full-length English mocks under a 2-hour timer. Negative marking punishes guesswork, so practise skipping questions you are unsure about.

What comes after Paper-II

The stages left for qualified candidates are:

  • Paper-II computer based exam on 28 November 2026 (tentative)
  • Detailed Medical Examination (DME), which is qualifying only, with a Review Medical Examination for those declared unfit
  • Document verification before the final result
  • Final allotment based on merit and the force or post preferences you gave

Admission certificates for Paper-II will come from SSC’s regional offices, not the main SSC site. Keep checking the website of the regional office you applied under.

For context, SSC’s tentative vacancy list shows 3,073 posts: 212 for SI (Executive) in Delhi Police and 2,861 for SI (GD) in the CAPFs. Both are in Pay Level-6 (Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400).

Ignore “result fixing” calls

SSC does not charge anything for results, admit cards or selection. If someone asks for money to change your status or get you selected, it is a fraud.
